Today’s sail to Kalami Bay was 37 nautical miles so we left at 09:00 after taking Ellie out for a walk again pointedCorfu Island Ruffles Spray north’ish switched on the autopilot and motored towards Corfu.

Corfu, is the island off Greece’s northwest coast in the Ionian Sea. It is defined by rugged mountains and a resort-studded shoreline. Its cultural heritage reflects years spent under Venetian, French and British rule before it was united with Greece in 1864.

Corfu TownCorfu Town, flanked by 2 imposing Venetian fortresses, features winding medieval lanes, a French-style arcade and the grand Palace of St. Michael and St. George.

We left all this to port because we had spent many happy days anchored in the many anchorages of this lovely island.

We anchored in Kalami bay and went for a swim then headed off into ‘Town’ for a drink and a meal.  Early start the next day as we’re heading for Orthoni Island.
